Brooke’s Maternity Shoot

September 29, 2008

After a busy day at school on Thursday, I headed over to Brooke’s house to do her long-awaited maternity sitting.  It is the first one I have done, and I’m very happy with the result.  Scott and Brooke were a lot of fun to work with, and I was excited to give my new lens some more practice.

Here are some of my favorites from the day:

Thanks so much, Brooke, for being my guinnea pig!  I can’t wait to meet that little baby of yours!  She will certainly be beautiful.

I just want to know…

…When Reagan became a toddler!
I feel like I blinked.
And no, for the record, I still don’t regret being excited for her to learn to walk. She has so much fun! And I enjoy chasing her!

I got some new photo equipment–I don’t know how I ever lived without it–and I took some of my favorite pictures of Reagan this afternoon as a trial run.

Wedding with Dawn

September 19, 2008

Last Saturday, I had the privilege of shooting a wedding with my wedding photographer, Dawn Sparks.

The wedding was at the Belmar Center in Lakewood.  The wedding was beautiful.  Both weddings I have shot with Dawn have nearly brought tears to my eyes.  It was clearly visible how in love the couple is, and I felt honored to be able to be a part of it.

Lia’s Senior Portraits

September 19, 2008

Lia’s portraits are the 3rd and final student’s from my school that I have done this year.  Lia chose Fox Run park, which happens to be one of my favorites.  It was a beautiful morning, and we got some great shots.  Thanks for letting me shoot your portraits, Lia!

Onorio’s Senior Portraits

September 19, 2008

Onorio was also a student in one of my classes last year.  Some guys I have photographed are stiff and unnatural in front of the camera, but Onorio was not one of those guys.  I had a lot of fun shooting him at Garden of the Gods!

Jessy’s Senior Pictures

September 19, 2008

Jessy is a student at the school where I teach.  She was in my class last year, and when she found out that I had a photography business she was adamant that I be the one to shoot her photos.  I was of course flattered, but there is no way I could have known how much fun it would be to do them!  Thanks for making it so easy, Jess!

Chris’s Senior Portraits

September 19, 2008

I have known Chris since he was at least 6 years old.  He has grown into such a fun, handsome young man!  We headed to Downtown Colorado Springs, and despite the cloudy day, were able to find some beautiful spots.

Chris, I hope you have a great time at school in the fall!

Ashlie’s Senior Portraits

September 19, 2008

It is hard to believe that my niece, Ashlie is a senior this year.  I had taken some pictures of her and my nephew (her brother) last summer, and after she saw them she decided that she wanted to have me take her senior pictures.  I was flattered!  She was here visiting this summer from Kansas, so we headed to Bear Creek Park to get them done.  Congratulations, Ashlie!  I love you!
