I’m excited to announce that I am now offering boudoir sessions to my customers.  There is a little bit of a catch though: Boudoir Sessions are available only for existing customers, or after a boudoir consult for women over the age of 18.  In other words, I don’t want to be meeting you for the first time during your boudoir session.  :)  While I’ll never post any boudoir session on this site (I want to keep it work and family friendly),  I’d be happy to show you my boudoir portfolio during an in-person meeting.

The most popular choice among brides who chose a boudoir session, is to make a 5×5 album for their fiance’s as a wedding gift.  These books are the same as a storybook album, with the exception that the cover image is replaced by foil stamping with the message of your choice, and the exterior being suede.  Because most brides choose to surprise their future husbands with this shoot, the boudoir session is not built into any wedding package, and will be booked as a standard portrait session.  However, you don’t have to be a bridal customer to do a boudoir session.  It makes a wonderful surprise birthday, anniversary, Valentine’s, or Just Because gift for the man in your life!

First things first: It is my pleasure to introduce to you the winners of my Wedding Photography Giveaway!

When Teresa sent me her nomination for her daughter Tina and Tina’s fiance, Mike I knew they must be a fairly special couple.  However, when I received Tina’s nomination for herself, any doubts I had were instantly gone.  In fact, the way Tina wrote about her love for Mike brought me to be teary-eyed!  I am a sucker for a couple’s story, and while simple, Mike and Tina’s is a great one!  Here’s one of the adorable pictures they submitted along with their entry.  I love it, because if you look closely you can see that they’ve both got tears in their eyes, because it was from right after Mike proposed.

Thanks so much, Mike and Tina!  (And to Teresa, too!)  I absolutely cannot wait to photograph your August wedding at Crooked Willow Farms!

Watch for Tina and Mike’s upcoming engagement photos!

Next up, I want to announce my next giveaway.  This time it’s for seniors!  If you’re a senior, you may have seen an ad on facebook.  If you followed that ad to this page looking for more information, you’re in the right place.  Basically, the way it works is this:

1. Click here to download the application. Once you’ve finished it, just send it back to me along with a snapshot of yourself (the picture part is optional for obvious safety reasons, but it does help with the selection process). If I pick you then
2. You’ll get free senior pictures (includes sitting fee, up to 2 hours of photography at an outdoor location of your choice and as many clothing changes as you’d like), and a cool display for a few of your favorite images, in exchange for you promoting me to your friends and classmates. I’ll give you everything you need to promote me, so all you have to do is brag about how awesome your pictures are and tell everyone about me.  :)
3. The only thing you’d have to pay for is any prints you’d like to have.
Does that sound like something you’d be interested in? If so, just fill out the application and either mail or email it back to me as soon as you can. If you or your parents have any questions, feel free to email or call me! Otherwise, I’ll look forward to receiving your application!

Hurry though…I’ll be notifying chosen reps by May 15th, 2010!

I’m a little behind on blogging, and can’t wait to show you some of the images I’ve made in the last week.  However, with my daughter’s 3rd birthday coming up, my own children are at the front of my mind!  I wanted to share these two from our trip to the playground the other day.  The weather here has been beautiful!

Also, don’t forget that the deadline for submitting your nomination for the 2010 Free Colorado Springs Wedding Photography is April 1st!  Get a reminder about the rules here.  My next post will have Shawnte’s BabyBump update!  Stay tuned!

So, after much deliberation, I decided to make the jump to a blog-site.  What’s a blog-site you ask?  It’s a website that combines normal website-ness with the ease of use and functionality of a blog.  I was wanting the two to exist in one place, so my wonderful (and incredibly smart) husband helped me all weekend to develop what you are seeing.  While I’m not considering it the “finished product”, I’m very pleased with the result.  I’ll definitely keep the format, but I’m already working to change the appearance.  I really like that you’ll get to see my most current work as soon as you come to my website.  Also, all the old stuff from the old website is still here, under the gallery link.  I really like that too.   :)

Now that the really hard stuff is done for the blog-site, I’ll be busy working on Avery’s (a little late) 1 year portraits.  And, because it’s not really fair to introduce a shoot without photo documentation, here’s just a little teaser of this awesome little girl’s portrait session.  I feel so lucky to know my friend Brooke.  Avery and my daughter, Reagan, play together so well, and it’s so much fun to have another Mom friend.  I suppose I’ll have more time to tell you more about Avery in my next post, so I suppose I’ll save some gushing for then.  But seriously, as you can see, this is one sweet little girl!

Here are some images from my bridal show this weekend at The Cheyenne Mountain Resort!  It was great to meet all the brides-to-be and talk with them about their planning.  I also met several other wonderful vendors.  I’ll be posting a list of them on my website soon!

I’m excited to announce that I will be participating in my first bridal expo on January 31st!  It will be at the prestigious Cheyenne Mountain Resort.

If you are or someone you know is getting married soon, be sure to send them to http://www.bridalextravaganza.us/ to print a complimentary invitation.  The invitation will get them in the door for free, and be able to access some great vendors.

Hope to see you there!

I feel so lucky to have shared in some very special people’s very special days. I know that for many of my brides and grooms, their photographs were the most important investment they made in their day. For that reason, I feel honored that they picked me. In fact, I’m so grateful that I would like to give back.

I’ll be giving one special couple the following:
-6 Hours of Wedding-day photography for any wedding in 2010 between July and December within 30 minutes of Colorado Springs, CO (Other locations are subject to travel fee)
-Engagement portrait session at a location of your choice (up to 1 hour)
-Digital Editing to all photographs
-Online, password protected viewing to share with friends and family

Also, everyone wins, because each couple who enters will receive a free engagement session with package purchase!

So, how do I enter, already you say? I’m glad you asked! Just send me some information to amanda@lamb-photo.com. Include info about yourself or the couple you’d like to nominate. Don’t forget to include the following:
-Your complete contact information
-Details about your wedding plans
-Your story as a couple
-Why you (or your nominees) are the most deserving couple!

Be creative, and be sure I receive your submission no later than April 1st, 2010!

Winners will be notified no later than April 15th, 2010.

There is no catch, no strings attached, and no obligation to purchase anything.  Just a chance for me to give a deserving couple the gift of photography!

Hello there! It’s been awhile! I’ve been hard at work on my new website. It’s http://www.lamb-photo.com. I completely revamped it, and I can’t wait for you to see it! Go take a look…you might see someone you recognize!

Secondly, stay tuned…my next post will include details about some free wedding photography for a very lucky couple!
