Last week Shawnte and I had her last mini-session of her BabyBump package! This is exciting because it means that the next time I photograph her, she will be only a short time away from holding her sweet baby girl in her arms. I know I’ve already mentioned this, but I just know that Shawnte will be an amazing mother. She is patient, kind, and so strong in her faith. Their family will be so blessed to have one-another!

While her sweet bump is definitely growing (that’s a good thing!), Shawnte is looking as beautiful as ever. Stay tuned in June for her main maternity session with her husband Sean! I can’t wait!

I’m a little behind on blogging, and can’t wait to show you some of the images I’ve made in the last week.  However, with my daughter’s 3rd birthday coming up, my own children are at the front of my mind!  I wanted to share these two from our trip to the playground the other day.  The weather here has been beautiful!

Also, don’t forget that the deadline for submitting your nomination for the 2010 Free Colorado Springs Wedding Photography is April 1st!  Get a reminder about the rules here.  My next post will have Shawnte’s BabyBump update!  Stay tuned!

I’ve really been enjoying the beautiful spring weather we’ve been having lately!  However, in typical March fashion, the Colorado wind is now rushing off the foothills and bringing us what is promised to be an epic snowstorm (I guess we’ll have to wait and see).  So, what better to do while listening to the wind howl and taking in some March Madness (Rock Chalk Jayhawk) but blog!

Until this year, I didn’t know that there was a Mrs. America pageant.  It was brought to my attention though when Falcon High School’s own Mrs. Jennifer Ross was crowned Mrs. Colorado Springs!  She’ll be going on to compete for the title of Mrs. Colorado in May.  When I was photographing Jen I was reminded of things I already knew about her, and I kept thinking, “No wonder she won!”  The pictures say what I don’t need to: the woman is GORGEOUS!  But the best part about Jen is that her beauty is much more than just skin deep.  Jen is always a class act, in every sense of the term.  She is kind hearted and cares deeply for the students she teaches.  When you see her 3 high-school aged children, it’s clear to see that her character and positive outlook  are contagious.  It’s always so inspiring to me as a mother and as a wife when I see women like Jen who truly do it all.

Jen, I had a great time photographing you and your family at The Broadmoor last weekend!  I’m so excited for you, and good luck at Mrs. Colorado!
